Connect Butiq to ChatGPT

Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to look after your shop for you, such as checking today's orders or changing a price.

Before you start

You need your Butiq account and the owner role of your shop. ChatGPT must also allow adding your own connectors. Not every ChatGPT plan does, so if you do not see the option, check your plan or ask whoever manages your account.

Add Butiq

  1. Open ChatGPT and go to its settings for connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector. Give it a name you will recognise, such as Butiq, and paste this address:

  3. Continue. ChatGPT opens Butiq in your browser. Sign in if you are asked.
  4. Butiq shows who is asking, for which shop and what the assistant may do. Choose the shop, tick only what you are happy with and press Connect. You go back to ChatGPT, where you can try: “What orders do I have today?”

Try it

Once connected, open a new chat in ChatGPT, paste this message and send it:

Using Butiq, show me my orders for today and tell me which ones still need something from me.

What the assistant can do

  • See your products, prices, settings and orders
  • See customer contact details and messages, and write to customers, only if you allow it
  • Add and change products, categories, options and prices, with photos from your phone
  • Change order status, pickup times and payments, and send quotes

For bigger actions, such as cancelling an order or changing many prices at once, it first shows what will happen and ChatGPT usually asks you to approve it.

What it can never do

  • Delete your account, or change your plan, payment settings or payment details
  • Refund an online payment. It tells you the amount and gives you a link to do it in Butiq.
  • Change your team or your assistant connections
  • See or change any shop you did not choose

You stay in control

In Butiq, open Settings and then AI assistants to see every connected assistant and what it did. You can disconnect any of them at any time.
